Attendees can bring collectibles, treasures, glassware, toys, dolls, books, prints, furniture, grandma's quilts and more, and have them appraised for $5 per item; $8 per piece for jewelry, with no limit. Oral appraisals only will be made. State Fair and nationally acclaimed judges and appraisers will help identify and appraise items. Refreshments will be provided and feel welcome to listen to descriptions about other submitted items. All proceeds will help restore structures at the Allen Heritage Village, located on the south end of St. Mary Drive. The Allen Heritage Guild has partnered with the city of Allen to create this village, which contains architectural samples from different periods of Allen's history-frontier, prairie style, agricultural and art deco. Most of the structures are on their foundations and are ready for restoration. The St. Mary Baptist Church is the first structure to be completely renovated. Many scout and youth groups have toured this building to learn more about a period when education took place in a one room school. This is cache, read story here
