Letter: Auction a success...

Submitted by admin on Thursday, October 27, 2005 - 05:35

riarwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center hosted a Fine Art and Sports Memorabilia auction on Wednesday, Oct. 19, to benefit the Friends of Needham Elderly effort to raise funds for a new senior center. This event was a huge success due in no small part to the many donors who contributed items to the auctions and provided refreshments.

Thank you to the following individuals who donated pieces of art and collectibles: Joanne Diamond, Mark Richards, Shirley Ralston, Nancy Walton, June Levinson, Walter M. Collins, Christine Laki, Richard Moon, Gail Fischer, Bill Tedoldi, George Hoffmeister, Carol Kong, Kyoungmin Tow, Shirley Pratt, Mardi Reed, Claire Henry, Ken Monteith, Mary O'Connor and Pat White.

Local businesses and organizations that donated wonderful and interesting auction items included: Condon Realty, the Wicker Lady, Perennial Design, Bronwen Flowers, Gold's Gym, Chiara Restaurant, Zucker Design, Commonwealth Ambulance, Friends of the Needham Elderly, the Needham Historical Society and Briarwood Healthcare Center.

Thank you also to Fuji Steak House and Dragon Chef, who provided marvelous appetizers, and Sweet Rue's, who provided delicious desserts.

We would like to thank everyone who helped to make this a fun and profitable evening for the Friends of Needham Elderly.
